Try Empire Earth 1 you can play multiplayer with gameranger. ima love it. but ffs dont play Empire earth 2 it requires 256 mb graphic card +  it gives you a major head ache

Also try:
max payne 1 ,2 and 3
Doom 3

favorate game with sad story lines which makes you a fan of it is:
Silent hill series (horror i lovvvvvv it and i miss it)
Tomb raider Series (I almost cryed in one of its series)
Dino crisis  (all about dinosers)
